The History of the French Bayonet edition by Steve Jackson Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews
A very good breakdown of historical design and technical advancements in bayonet design. Also a fascinating look at behind the scenes decision making in the various armies. A good addition to any military buffs library. Well worth the price of a few coffees for an afternoon read and to keep on hand as a reference.
A good fast and easy read about a subject it's hard to find good sources on. It does a great job of covering the main points of French bayonet design and the historical events and design considerations that led to the various changes in design to the weapon. The iterative process of experience and design response is well charted.
